I do not own them, but the set up looks good.

Uranium Miners - That Was Fast
Last week, it sure looked like the Uranium miners were preparing to rest, and we did get some pullback, but looking at the action today suggests the consolidation is ending. note, I did no call for or sell any of my positions, but was hoping for a deeper pullback to buy more. What has me excited is the jump in the Juniors. My notes are on the charts.

Uranium miners - Ready for a Retrace
The uranium miners have held up pretty well so far, and have a bright year ahead of them, but the miners are now the most stretched to their 200 EMA and are either bumping the tops of channels or are showing some softness. My intent is to double down over the next two months. These are my core holdings, and at core position size, I will sell call spreads to ease the pain, if they break down.

Tournigan cup is filled, handle or just break out
I own quite a few shares of this junior, and if it forms a handle and breaks out, I am doubling down.
UEC - Reloading
UEC has bounced off its channel and is readying another move higher. Look at the tight bollinger bands, and uranium prices up yet again this week. I already own my core position in this, I will run with some calls. URRE is also tightening on the BB.

Tournigan is Rocking
I spoke on this stock before and promptly bought 10,000 shares. Now it is moving nicely with Uranium prices. If you do not own it, you can bracket it by buying on the next dip and/ or buy on a break out. This stock will become a monster at some point.
I bought on the bounce out of the test of the loer band (see bottom chart). I am not getting cute trading uranium, I am just buying it on every logical opportunity.

Elder Impulse Buy Signals
GLD, UEC, and CCJ hit Elder buy signals today. gold miners have been sluggish, and this may get them moving again. I will play them though with gold and silver junior plays (you may peruse my earlier posts on the stocks I like). Uranium is under no such restraint, I own a good bit of UEC (along with URRE, URZ, DNN, MWSNF, and TVCFF). I will push a little longer with additional shares or calls.

UEC ready for another push higher
I own UEC and had a buy order to buy more at $5.88. It hit that, and looks like a good, low risk entry for a new position. My stop is $5.50.

Tournigan - Ideas from a Poster
Last night a poster has been following a stock called Tournigan Energy (TVCFF) and asked my opinion. I had not followed them but a very good friend who trades the juniors very well shot me some of his thoughts, and was cool with me posting them.
"Their flagship project is in Slovakia. They have an NI-43101 proven reserve of 38 million lbs. U308 at a very high grade...higher than most every one of their peers. Slovakia is very pro-nuclear, being the 3rd highest user of nuclear energy in the world on a per capita basis. They also have huge popular support (over 80%) in favor of nuclear energy. They won't be producing any time soon, but if all goes well maybe they will be ready to start the permitting process next year or the following year. But there is no doubt they are undervalued compared to their peers. The price of their U308 in the ground is .55 Canadian cents/lb., which is dirt cheap compared to other junior explorers who have NI-43101 proven resources this big. Tournigan also is doing more drilling and will certainly add to their resource base (last time they drilled they added over 5 million lbs.). Also, these guys were $4.50 back in June of '07 when uranium was all the rage. It's definitely one worth considering...especially at .27 cents! That's pretty ridiculous. "
A break above the 20 EMA would interest me to take a position.
One of the reasons I started to blog was to share and to learn and I appreciate the heads up on this stock and for my friends insight.

Mawson is Flagging out
I wrote on Mawson before, it is a dynamite junior uranium Miner. http://arum-geld-gold.blogspot.com/2010/11/mawson-potential-blockbuster.html.
I just set my trade parameters; a break of the 20 EMA ($1.92) or the break of the flag, $2.10 as of today. I will adjust these daily.

Mawson - a potential blockbuster
Mawson is a small mining holding company that has stumbled into a couple of huge finds. The concentrations of the metals and minerals, are unheard of. Please read from a release from the company.
"The Company is exploring at Rompas in Finland, a new discovery with BONANZA GOLD where samples up to 12,800 g/t (373 oz/ton) gold and 43.6% uranium have been identified. In addition, the Company is exploring for gold and copper in the highly prospective Cordillera of Peru, with a focus on a new high grade gold discovery at Alto Quemado.
Mawson is a leading Scandinavian uranium exploration company, with advanced projects in Sweden and Finland. As the European Union moves to reduce its reliance on carbon-based energy sources and continues to debate energy security, Mawson is well positioned to provide Europe with the option to fuel its future. Areva NC of France holds 11% of the Company and provides Mawson with an active technical partner.
With a strong cash position and a multi-jurisdiction European and South American portfolio, Mawson is ideally positioned to enhance its status as a leader in the uranium and gold industries."
What else is interesting to me is the capital structure is in strong hands, with low share count. This means to me, that retracements will be shallow, as only weak speculators will sell. Having said that, the move on this news has aleady happened, and I will wait for either a retrace to the 50 EMA, or allow the 50 to catch up.
Uranium prices are impervious to external events as the Chinese must secure fuels for their ever growing power plants.

An American Junior in MY Crosshair
Crosshairs exploration intrigues me due to their mix of mineral assets; Uranium, Vanadium, and Gold. Their focus is on clean energy minerals/metals. Uranium was obvious to me, but Vanadium as a battery alternative to lithium surprised me.
This caught my interest as lithium reserves are primarily located in Chile an Bolivia, and battery heat and lifespan are of great concern.
I also like the fact that their assets are located in the U.S. (Wyoming) and Canada (New Foundland), and their claims are located in proven zones for their respective metals. They just received some financing to bring these uranium mines to production, and their drill results in Canada show increasing reserves. They also hold gold reserves, which they are willing to spin out/sell, which would provide additonal sources of cash, without dilution.
Bottomline, this company sits in the sweet spot for speculators, as they move from exploration to miner, that is when the valuation of these companies really start to move significantly higher. I have buy orders on CXZ at $.30 or at new highs.

Uranium stocks are over heating?
The uranium stocks have just completed a spectacular run, and it sure looks like they are going to retrace some of their gains. URRE is sporting a bear flag and declining RSI. I am expecting this flag to break and look for a retrace to the 38.2 line. I own this stock and would add to at that price. A break of the 50 line would cause me to rethink my position. If I am wrong, I suggest adding onto when the high is taken out.
DNN looks like the strong stock in the sector, and I would make additional purchases above $2.25. I own this one, as well, and it is showing no signs of any weakness.
UEC gapped down this week but held its 38.2 line. A break here can take it down to the 61.8 line and the intersection of the rising trendline., and CCJ is consolidating.
